When creating intellectual property or an intellectual asset on the Big Idea Platform you may wonder, is this information is visible to the general public?

While the platform is an ecosystem of validated users, some may still want to keep their assets private. When you create an Intellectual Digital Encrypted Asset (IDEA) on the platform, you have the option of choosing whether your asset should be publicly visible or private. During the IDEA Settings step when creating an IDEA, there is a field called Public Status. If you want the IDEA to be publicly visible to everyone on the platform, select the Public option. If you want the IDEA to be only visible to yourself, select the Private option.

The Public Status can always be changed at a later date in the IDEA settings, which can be accessed when managing the IDEA. To provide specific people access to a private IDEA, you can add them as collaborators to that IDEA.
